Why we check your age
A casino hotel has to be careful about who walks in. The Adlersaal sits one staircase away from reception, so we treat the whole website as adults-only material and ask the question once, here, before anything else loads.
No further, then.
We are not going to show casino pages to anyone under 18, and the doorman upstairs would turn you away for the same reason. Nothing personal: the rule exists because gambling harms young people more easily than it harms anyone else. Free, confidential support is there whenever it is needed, from gamblingtherapy.org and gamblersanonymous.org.
- The age limit on the casino floor is 18, or the higher legal age where local rules require it. We never make an exception for a quiet night.
- Three documents work at the door: a passport, a national identity card or a photo licence. A picture of one on a phone does not, and a borrowed card ends the evening before it starts.
- Everyone is asked, every visit. Regulars who have shown the same passport for nine winters are asked again, because a selective check is not a check.
- Guests under 18 are welcome to sleep here, eat in the Langtisch hall, swim in the Felsenbad at family hours and ski all day. They cannot step onto the casino floor, not even holding a parent's hand.
- Ask a casino host for a time limit or a spending ceiling before you play, or for a confidential break of any length. They would rather arrange it than watch you need it.
- What you are reading is a description of a building: a hotel with a casino floor in it. No online casino sits behind these pages, nothing can be staked on them, and they take no deposit and no payment.
